It’s been a month since I moved to my brother’s room. I used to share room with my sisters. At first I was really upset, coz I FELT like I’d been cast-out all of a sudden from the place I’m so used to be for the past few years without even much of a warning. I had no idea why and what I’ve done to be cut-off just like that.  Though the reasons they gave didn’t justify much the hurt that follows, I have learned to accept it and have settled comfortably with my current room now.

In these, I’m not only talking about the changing of rooms. It’s more like the life; the routines; the moments; the companionship I used to have with them. Suddenly it changed. It shifted. Causing a crack; though very small, still does shake my being.

I’m just glad that the arguments that followed after that did not last, and we went on as usual.

Thinking all these; It seems that for the past few months (or year?), I’ve been a bit reckless in handling my emotions. I’ve let my emotions ran amok.

I’ve been ignored (up to the point where it seems like I don’t even exist), betrayed, hurt and cut-ties-off, by people I love and care a lot for. If it were strangers I wouldn’t mind, but to received it from people I had close bonds with:- family; friends; a love one – THAT is devastating.

And yet..

Without thinking, I also did the same thing, (those stuff that I HATED) to them.

I let others hurt me, and I hurt them by retaliating as well. I let my pride and feelings governed me and hurled me into this emotional abyss.

I know it’s too late now to take back all the hurtful things we said or not said to each other, and go back to what we all used to be. But I also know that it’s never too late to learn from mistakes.

Change came inevitably and abruptly in each of us, and though it held us back from saying anything more to all that’s happened, it still turned out for the better.

And with these realizations and acceptance, I pick myself up again from this fall and move on with contentedness, peace of mind and hope.

A hope that Time, in which we place our trust in, can heal all of us..

.. and our broken hearts/bonds.
